So, after two decades in the corporate world, I knew I wanted my business to be a service to women in making them feel fabulous and more confident. As a certified yoga instructor, mother of a beautiful 16-year-old daughter, and a healthy lifestyle fanatic, providing a healthy alternative to sun tanning is a perfect fit for my entrepreneurial spirit. I have made it my goal to provide women with the best possible experience when they get a spray tan from me. Preparation
For the best spray tan possible, follow these preparation tips to get ready for your next appointment.

STEP 1: EXFOLIATE.
4-24 hours before your appointment, exfoliate your skin with a loofa or something of the like, giving extra love to any dry areas on your body (like elbows and knees). Proper exfoliation will make your spray tan last longer and promote even coverage. Do NOT shower less than 2 hours before your spray tan session. This can cause an uneven tan that will fade much quicker, and may result in a blotchy appearance on the skin.

STEP 2: REMOVE UNWANTED HAIR.
Using your preferred method, remove any unwanted hair on your body, such as on your legs or arms, 12-24 hours before your appointment. Be sure to use a soothing agent while removing the hair, like shaving cream or conditioner, to avoid irritation.

STEP 3: WASH UP.
Do not to wear any makeup, perfumes, lotions, or deodorants before your appointment. These products can cause your tan to come out uneven or underdeveloped. You should also avoid any sunless tanning lotions or sprays for a least a week before your appointment.

STEP 4: PROPER CLOTHING.
You should wear loose and darker clothing for your appointment as the tanning solution may rub off the following hours after your appointment. While the tanning solution washes out of most clothing, it may not always, so it's best to use clothing you don't mind staining.

Maintenance
Follow these tips to keep your spray tan glowing longer.

STEP 1: ALLOW TIME FOR THE TAN TO DEVELOP.
Your tan will take about 8-12 hours to fully develop. During this time, do not bathe, avoid contact with liquids, and refrain from sweating/exercising.

STEP 2: SHOWER WITH CARE.
You will notice brown-tinted water going down your drain - this is perfectly normal! This is the surface bronzer washing off, but your tan is still underneath and on your skin. Pat dry with a towel when finished and avoid exfoliating or excessive rubbing, as this can cause streaks and patches in your color.

STEP 3: MOISTURIZE.
Your spray tan fades as your skin sheds. To slow this process down, apply a sunless-tan-compatible moisturizer twice a day. Avoid using any sunless-tanning lotions as they can contribute to uneven tones and streaks. Moisturized skin is key for an even, long lasting tan!
